Apostle Grace Lubega. The character of love as revealed to us in the Bible sets a very high bar on how we ought to treat fellow men. How does love believe the best of every person and endure everything without weakening? The constraints of love, like the theme scripture says, dictate that we regard no man after the flesh. It means that we do not judge men according to what they do in the flesh.
Parallel Verses. King James Version Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Darby Bible Translation So that we henceforth know no one according to flesh; but if even we have known Christ according to flesh, yet now we know him thus no longer. World English Bible Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.
Know No Man After the Flesh
Yesterday we saw how Peter was rebuked just a few minutes after he was applauded. In one moment he was commended for seeing Jesus the way the Father saw Jesus. It was a spiritual perception and the revelation he received from the Father led to public validation from the Son. But a few moments later Peter told Jesus that he did not have to die. It was clear that Peter was no longer hearing from God. Peter was speaking out of his flesh. Peter was seeing things the way the world does. Peter was operating solely based on his humanity.
Why from now on know we no man after the flesh: yes, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now from now on know we him no more. Deuteronomy Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. Matthew He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. John It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
The Good News - Home. Knowing No Man, "After the Flesh ". For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Wherefore Henceforth Know We No Man After the Flesh
All mankind whether in the faith or not makes many judgments every single day. We do this every time we respond, think and act to the various stimuli all things the Lord is working in our lives. Decision making is judgment making and the Lord is working all of it, even declaring to us our very thoughts Amo even giving us the words we speak Pro

Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Paul speaks about regeneration in this passage. If anyone is in Christ—if anyone has become united to Jesus Christ by saving faith in the Gospel, if anyone has died to sin and self in union with the One who died to sin once for all—he is a new creation.

The will of God that most believers resist. Knowing no man after the flesh
This verse has been permeating my mind recently. Last week a person who is not a follower of Jesus asked me to go with him to do something in the community. When he asked me again my heart was pierced and the Holy Spirit brought this verse to mind. I might enjoy doing things with people, like hunting or fishing or shooting, but if my primary goal in the relationships is not to lead them to Christ, then I have acted selfishly and foolishly and not fulfilled my God given purpose.
