Aspiring solo travelers often ask me where their first solo trip should be. Having traveled through a lot of Europe, my suggestion is always the same; I suggest Ireland! A weekend in Ireland is a perfect destination for your first solo trip for many reasons. My first reason for choosing Ireland for a weekend trip is the city sizes are small.

Can anyone recommend a tour for a single 26yr old woman to Ireland? I am looking to see as much of Ireland as possible; sights, pubs and all it has to offer. I have never traveled alone or been on a tour group so any advice or recommendations would be helpful. My Cousin and his girlfriend from NYC both late 20's did a cie tour about years ago and raved about it. Had a real good time but he did say the age profile was an older group but they had a lot of fun. I think they did the Pubs one. Hi, My daughter, who is about 10 years older than you, has went on several of the Rick Steves tours and always enjoyed them. The tours seem to be rather diverse when it comes to age but as a whole the people are well educated and enjoy having a good time. She just did the tour of Ireland last October and has nothing but good things to say about it.
