‘The Woman At the Well Encounters Jesus’ Childrens Lesson
Have children place their hands under running water in a sink and then drink a cup of water. Afterward, hold up a glass of water and a picture of Jesus. Paraphrase the story from John Jesus can help us live forever. Give each child yarn and a plastic container such as the lower half of a bleach bottle or a milk carton.
Have children each punch a hole on each side of their container. Then have them thread the yarn through the holes and tie a knot to form a handle on the container. They can lower the container into the tub water just as the Samaritan woman lowered her jug into the well, fill it with water, and then pour the water all over their bodies.
Help children make Jell-O. Talk about how the water is important to give life to the powdered Jell-O. Afterward, serve already-prepared Jell-O and talk about how Jesus gives us life. Play background music. Have children each hold a large feather in the air and drop it. As the feather gracefully floats down, call out parts of the body and have children each try to catch it on that body part. For example, call out elbow, knee, hand, or stomach. Member's - Younger Children. Member's - Older Children. Children can take the drops home to practice their memory verse or use them to play a game in class. In class have older children cut water drop shapes from blue paper and write the memory verse words on the water drops.
Kids will learn that God wants us to share Jesus with everybody. Everybody eats Cheerios. In fact, for many babies, it's one of the first solid foods they eat. Kids will learn that the good news of Jesus is for everyone. Thank you for Jesus, and thank you for your love. Help us to share that good news with everyone we meet.

We don't have a lot on the story of the Samaritan Woman at the Well mostly because it's not one of the "major" stories of the Bible that Rotation fans teach. That said, we've been collecting good ideas and invite you to add your own! John 4 4 Now he had to go through Samaria. It was about noon. Have children crumple newspapers and stuff into a large paper grocery bag. When it is full, put another bag on top of it to make a block.
